What you will be doing :

As Director of Housekeeping you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the department meets and exceeds guest expectations brand standards and departmental goals.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms public areas and backofhouse spaces
  • Develop and execute deepcleaning cycles preventative maintenance and renovation projects
  • Maintain strong collaboration with Engineering Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest service
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback including VOG (Voice of Guest) insights and service recovery
  • Team & Performance Management

  • Recruit train mentor and retain a highperforming team of leaders and colleagues
  • Drive employee engagement through recognition coaching and clear communication
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development pathways
  • Foster a positive work environment with a focus on safety wellness and teamwork
  • Financial Oversight & Resource Management

  • Manage department budgets forecasts and productivity metrics
  • Oversee scheduling payroll and vacation planning to optimize operations
  • Implement an effective purchasing program for supplies and linen ensuring adequate par levels
  • Manage capital plans and ensure the availability and functionality of tools uniforms and equipment
  • Quality Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and health & safety regulations (WSBC WHMIS)
  • Lead quality assurance efforts including inspections and audits
  • Champion a culture of safety and readiness including emergency preparedness training
  • Qualifications :

    To excel in this role were looking for candidates who have the following qualifications :

  • 35 years in a senior Housekeeping leadership role preferably in a unionized luxury hotel environment
  • Proven ability to lead large teams manage change and drive performance
  • Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in budget management and strategic planning
  • University degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Highly detailoriented proactive and able to prioritize in a fastpaced setting
  • Flexible to work extended hours evenings weekends holidays and during hotel events
  • Additional Information :

    Visa Requirements :

    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
