Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, the Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the development, coordination, facilitation, and execution of the Faculty's strategic marketing and communications programs. Key areas include promoting program offerings, enhancing the faculty's web presence, leading internal communications, and supporting funding initiatives.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic communications to enhance the Faculty's image and reputation.
- Identify new strategic marketing opportunities and develop initiatives to strengthen the Faculty's brand.
- Provide leadership on marketing and communications programs that support the Faculty's strategic needs.
- Advise the Dean, faculty, and staff on communications and marketing issues.
- Collaborate with Queen's Media to increase the media profile of faculty members.
- Work with Alumni & Advancement teams to support giving projects with quality proposals and communication materials.
- Oversee the development and management of all communication materials.
- Plan and implement strategies to introduce new technologies and media for outreach.
- Liaise with central and Faculty groups to ensure alignment with the University's vision.
- Ensure strategic communications are timely, high quality, and compatible with the Visual Standards Program.
- Manage outside communication and marketing consultants as required.
- Lead strategic communications and marketing programs for advancement activities.
- Represent the Faculty on University committees and working groups.
- Prepare an annual communications and marketing budget for approval.
- Manage the work of employees, providing guidance and coaching.
- Conduct performance reviews and address employee relations issues.
- Other duties as required in support of the Faculty of Law.
