Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies and a passion for developing and maintaining robust applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in Mainframe Development
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM
- Strong understanding of core mainframe fundamentals
- Experience with job setup, PROC/INCLUDE, condition codes, overrides, restart/rerun, and dataset management in JCL
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with FileAid, Expeditor, Abend-AID, Changeman/Endevor, REXX scripts
- Familiarity with mainframe modernization tools or cloud migration
- Experience in pseudo conversational design and error handling in CICS
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and other IBM mainframe tools
- Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve production issues within SLAs
- Provide L2/L3 support for critical mainframe applications
