Based in Parry Sound ,the  Structural Engineer  will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities.

What You’ll Do :

The Structural Engineer will be part of the TULLOCH Engineering team. You will :

  • Perform design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other new and existing structures
  • Review, check, and approve technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
  • Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
  • Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Perform construction inspection
  • Assist with project management and construction administration
  • Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development
  • Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
  • Oversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co-op students

Who You Are :

  • You must have a P.Eng. licence (required)
  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the civil / structural consulting industry
  • Bridge design experience is an asset
  • Extensive Building Code knowledge and / or a BCIN is considered an asset
  • You have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team
  • You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
  • What You Should Bring :

    The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have :

  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
