Department Manager, Cosmetics

The Department Manager, Cosmetics is responsible for directing cosmetic department employees to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department. The Department Manager is responsible for hiring, scheduling, and payroll, as well as the ongoing training and development of staff. The position leads the department towards achieving company goals and objectives, including financial benchmarks in sales, inventory control and payroll.


In addition to the above duties, this is a customer service position which requires a great deal of customer contact. Accordingly, you must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment while at the same time providing quality service in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.


Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum three years of management retail experience, however applicants without management experience may also be considered. You will have extensive knowledge of cosmetic products, combined with strong skills in merchandising and creative display of product, and professional sales experience.


Your proven ability to build the business will include a strong dedication to following and enforcing all Company policies, procedures, and standards as well as an ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and management.


If you are a well organized individual possessing sound supervisory delegation and leadership skills, combined with professional sales experience, who has a positive attitude, a desire to support Company initiatives, and a commitment to achieving Company objectives, then we have the opportunity for you to excel!

Mode of transportation will be the responsibility of the employee.
