📢 We are seeking dedicated individuals across Canada to join our dynamic team in Technical Services and Facilities, which forms part of the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) to conduct various tasks related to the maintenance of roads, land, buildings and associated services. Our focus is on the comprehensive management of facilities, including the planning, design, operation, maintenance, and sustainability of various infrastructures.

⭐ The position demands specific skills in maintenance and facility management, based to the needs of the institutional environments.

➨ Position Title : Maintenance Tradesperson

Responsibilities : The role involves providing general maintenance (corrective and preventive), construction work and, in some institutions, minor service of vehicles. This can embrace a range of specific tasks, including providing services as a relief officer for maintenance shops, labor, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, metal, welding, paint, masonry, service plant, composter and garage (which are considered maintenance activities or part of the maintenance shop) for a CSC institution, and for providing the necessary training to offenders.

➧ Must be willing to work overtime and flexible hours.

➧ Must be willing to perform duties at any of the locations within the cluster for which this position serves.

➧ Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (Candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).

➧ Must be willing and able to work in a 24 / 7 operational environment.

➧ Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.
