Overview :

To ensure the efficient functioning of the Dairy department, providing customers with the best quality dairy products, ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
Directing and supervising all Dairy staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service.
Responding immediately to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
Maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals and budgets are met.
Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory, and display of merchandise.
Hiring all part-time staff and training new employees.
Scheduling all Dairy clerks ensuring the strict control of wage costs.
Interpreting and administering Company policy and ensuring compliance with the union contract.
Ensuring the maintenance of equipment as well as the safety and sanitation of the department.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess :

Exceptional customer service skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, night shifts, and weekends.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

Three to five years of experience in the retail grocery industry.

Prior management experience is a definite asset.

Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.
