Notice of Employment Opportunity January 6, 2025 Day Camp Coordinator The Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the following student employment position for the Summer of 2025 in the Community & Recreation Services Department. Job Summary Reporting to the Supervisor Recreation Programs & Events, the Day Camp Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing and evaluating the Summer Day Camp Program for children from ages 5 to 12 years, in a variety of sport and recreation activities that promote healthy growth and development. Qualifications and Requirements The successful candidate must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution with an interest in recreation or childcare related fields. Candidates must have a minimum three (3) years’ experience in children’s programs and / or recreation programs. The successful candidate must have Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Automatic External Defibrillator, and HIGH FIVE certification. Experience working with children or related course in children development, and experience in creative programming and / or High Five Certification with QUEST will be considered an asset. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Town of Tecumseh Health and Safety policies and procedures and WHMIS regulations.
