  • Ensure all items are processed accurately and within agreed-upon SLA timeframes

  • Communicate with clients regarding participant inquiries requiring additional information

Technical Analysis & System Configuration (30%)

  • Apply advanced analytical skills through data analysis, troubleshooting, and eligibility logic development

  • Test and analyze system configurations against requirement documents during implementation and administration

  • Leverage sophisticated database tools to set up healthcare and group benefits databases

  • Define data fields, import data, design screens, and create queries and reports

  • Apply strong knowledge of Health and Welfare Benefit domain rules and regulations

  • Review plan documents to build plan-specific knowledge and assist with research

Quality Assurance & Project Management (20%)

  • Participate in client-specific and TELUS Health-wide project initiatives

  • Monitor project schedules to ensure deliverables are met on time

  • Collaborate with team leaders and project managers to define project scope, objectives, assignments, and timelines

  • Integrate quality assurance processes into all projects and deliverables

  • Notify project managers or clients proactively if timelines are at risk

What You Bring to the Team

Experience & Expertise:

  • 3-5 years in Benefits Administration industry, or as an Analyst/Operations Specialist

  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail

  • Familiarity with healthcare or group benefits concepts

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Excel including VLookup, Pivot Tables, and Macros

  • Strong ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • Experience with data processing and analysis

Core Competencies:

  • Self-motivated, quality-conscious, and committed to meeting deadlines

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree

  • Project management background

  • Previous experience with database management or data processing

  • Experience in project coordination or administrative support roles

  • Professional certifications in HR, benefits, or related fields (CEBS, SHRM, etc.)

  • Experience working in a consulting or client services environment

  • Understanding of compliance requirements in benefits administration

Your Success Profile

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Growth Mindset – Genuine desire for professional development with openness to feedback and continuous improvement

  • Problem-Solving Excellence – Natural curiosity to understand complex processes and develop innovative solutions

  • Adaptability – Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
