Our client, a leader in distribution operations, is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their growing procurement team. This is a fantastic full‑time, permanent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic organization.What We Offer:

What You’ll Do:

• Manage the current database of product SKUs, ensuring product descriptions and pricing remain accurate
• Create new product codes as required
• Monitor inventory levels using existing reporting tools and coordinate timely purchasing to prevent shortages or overstock
• Source and evaluate new and existing vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements with suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier documentation
• Conduct vendor evaluations and manage ongoing supplier relationships
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to support informed purchasing decisions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to speak and write in English and French
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems
• Familiarity with sourcing strategies, vendor management, and negotiation techniques
• Excellent communication skills for supplier interaction and negotiation
• Ability to analyze pricing and inventory data
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics (highly desirable)
• Ability to collaborate across departments to meet operational and production needs
