Job Description

AIM is currently seeking a Scale and Transportation Clerk for its Matane site, in a temporary position ending on July 2, 2027. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Scale and Transportation Clerk plays a key role in the smooth operation of the department. The position supports the team in administrative activities, planning, transportation, and customer service.

What you will be responsible for :

• Opening and closing daily operations;
• Welcoming customers, informing them of current metal prices, and directing them on-site in accordance with established procedures;
• Answering phone calls and providing high-quality customer service;
• Performing vehicle weighing by reading the scale weight, recording data, generating delivery tickets in the RECY software, and issuing payments to customers;
• Preparing shipping documents and ensuring follow-up on material shipments;
• Coordinating truck dispatch and communicating relevant information to the receiver;
• Balancing the cash register, producing required reports, and performing any other related duties.
