Customer Service Representative – Part Time
BMO’s Personal Banking team is expanding in the Lower Mainland and seeks a customer‑focused Advisor to work 18‑24 hours per week. You will enhance customer experiences while supporting branch sales and operations.
Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and initiate referrals to BMO colleagues.
- Support customer requests for banking services, including handling transactions and inquiries.
- Welcome customers warmly and perform banking transactions with seamless execution.
- Offer advice and guidance on digital and self‑serve options to simplify banking.
- Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
- Escalate complex or unresolved situations to management as required.
- Contribute to branch business results and overall customer experience.
- Support operational activities such as inventory management, filing, opening and closing activities.
- Manage, load, and reconcile cash transactions between treasury and branch units.
- Execute routine tasks within relevant service level agreements.
- Act as a key member of a collaborative branch and market team.
- Probe to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions into conversations.
- Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Initiate creative approaches that make each customer’s experience feel personal.
- Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience.
- Assist when required across multiple branches or channels; work schedule may vary weekly.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and privacy.
- Stay current with financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and ethical standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products and integrate them into conversations.
- Identify and report suspicious patterns related to money‑laundering.
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements of the jurisdiction.
- Protect the Bank’s assets in compliance with all regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Complete standardized tasks under supervision and solve problems within limits, escalating when necessary.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range : $34,750.00 – $47,250.00 per year (salaried; part‑time role pro‑rated based on hours worked). Commission structure may apply.
