This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Women's Services- Community Support Services
How You Will Make an Impact
- Support cis women, trans, and non-binary individuals who have experienced gender-based violence and are navigating the legal system.
- Support and assist individuals in accessing resources and understanding their rights.
- Advocate for a legal system that is responsive and accountable to those who have experienced gender-based / intimate partner violence.
- Provide respectful, appropriate, and culturally competent services to diverse and marginalized communities.
- Work effectively to address the systemic barriers faced by women, trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid individuals within the legal system.
- Plan, attend, and support public education initiatives and community events.
- Collaborate with co-workers to plan and facilitate group activities internally.
- Responsible for participating in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs, procedures, procedures and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd
