Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Capital Improvement Program Planning Manager  to work on a 2 year contract for one of BC's largest utility and energy companies.

The Capital Improvement Program Planning Manager will coordinate and implement program improvements to the Integrated Planning CIP Compliance Program.

The role will initially be directed with the intention that the successful candidate would have the opportunity to grow into a knowledgeable resource who is able to become increasingly autonomous.

Location : Burnaby, Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Responsibilities :

Work to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in order to implement program improvements to process and procedures.

Leading the implementation of a new technology for Instruction Management, which is in progress, and acting as the custodian of that system on behalf of the business.

Improving field or engineering procedures, engineering standards, maintenance standards, job aids.

Developing tools for implementation or for monitoring process or procedures as well as providing group training, or other change management solutions.

Requirements :

A minimum eight (8) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.

Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC

Must haves include a positive attitude, the ability to initiate and socialize change with stakeholders.

An independent but collaborative mindset. Nice to haves :

Experience working in an Electrical Utility with NERC CIP Standards, Protection and Control, Document control, Atlassian (Jira & Confluence), MS Excel, and design of Excel Macros or SharePoint.
