About the Position:

This is a part-time temporary support staff role reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Community Services & Business making $40.32/HR.

This is a meaningful opportunity to shape the curriculum of the Business – Sustainable Agriculture program by ensuring that foundational learning in Canada’s agricultural supply management system is accurate, relevant, and industry aligned. Your expertise will directly influence the readiness of future professionals entering the agriculture, agribusiness, and food systems sectors.

Lambton College is seeking an experienced subject matter expert in Canadian Agricultural Supply Management to support the development of curriculum for the Canadian Agricultural Supply Management course (BSA ). This role is ideal for a working professional who is passionate about strengthening teaching and learning within agricultural and agri food educational pathways.

This is a flexible, project based position that can be completed while you maintain full time employment. Training, coaching, and standardized curriculum templates will be provided.

Specific Accountabilities:

Working closely with a curriculum coach, the SME will play a central role in shaping the academic delivery of the Canadian Agricultural Supply Management course.

Curriculum Development
•Course Outline Development: Create accurate and comprehensive course outlines that reflect current national agricultural practices, regulatory structures, quota systems, and supply chain realities.
•Syllabus / Course Plan Design: Develop structured weekly course plans that incorporate key topics such as supply management principles, logistics, trade policy, quota systems, sustainability considerations, and applied activities.

Assessment & Evaluation
•Assessment Development: Create meaningful assessments that evaluate student understanding of supply management frameworks, logistics, data interpretation, decision making, and analysis of agricultural policy.
•Rubric Creation: Develop clear, fair, competency based rubrics aligned with the established learning outcomes and vocational learning outcomes of the Sustainable Agriculture program.

Optional Future Teaching Opportunity
•Candidates may be considered for part time teaching once the course is offered in future program intakes.

Qualifications:

Required
•Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
•Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Canadian agriculture, agri food operations, agricultural supply chains, quota systems, commodity marketing, or agricultural policy.

Preferred (but not required)
•Master’s degree in a related discipline.
•Previous curriculum development experience.
•Post secondary teaching experience.
