Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is actively hiring for full-time and part-time Registered Technologists in our Medical Imaging department in the areas of CT / Angio , X-Ray , Ultrasound and Mammography .

Base pay range : CA$41.27 / hr - CA$52.50 / hr

Relocation Assistance : Candidates looking to relocate to the General Toronto Area from 100+ km away are eligible for reimbursement of applicable expenses up to $5000.

Registered Technologist - CT & Angio Interventional

Both regular and temporary full-time roles available

Summary of Duties

  • Provide patient care within the scope of practice of your profession.
  • Perform a variety of examinations and diagnostic procedures using helical CT scanners.
  • Assist with a variety of angiographic & interventional procedures.
  • Manage images electronically.
  • Deliver quality patient care, including administration of contrast medium.
  • Maintain adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Perform required care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist radiology residents and fellows as directed.
  • Collaborate and participate in Imaging research as directed.

Qualifications / Skills

  • MRT ( R ), CMRTO
  • RTR, CAMRT
  • Current BCLS
  • Sound knowledge in sectional anatomy
  • Recent related technologist experience required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making.

    • Registered Technologist - X-Ray Medical Imaging

    Temporary full-time roles available

    Duties / Responsibilities

  • Perform x-rays and operate equipment in the department / portably and in the operating room.
  • Complete imaging requests on ED / IP / OP patients in a timely, safe and professional manner.
  • Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizing emergency / add-on cases as required.
  • Comply with safe radiation practices at all times.
  • Responsible for care of patients within the department.
  • Report to senior technologists and manager.
  • Participate in the orientation of new staff and students as directed.

    • Qualifications / Skills

  • CMRTO Registration required.
  • CAMRT Registration preferred.
  • Recent related technologist experience required.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making.

    • Registered Technologist - Ultrasound Medical Imaging

    Both regular full-time and regular part-time roles available

    Summary of Duties

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Perform fetal and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures.
  • Responsible for care of patients within the department.
  • Prepare and maintain adequate written and electronic reports.
  • Collaborate and participate in teaching, research, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs.

    • Qualifications / Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or recognized equivalent.
  • Registration as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with CMRITO mandatory.
  • Recent related ultrasound technologist experience required.

    • Registered Technologist - Mammography Medical Imaging

    Both regular full-time and part-time roles available

    Summary of Duties

  • Responsible for care of patients within the department.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures in the Breast Imaging department.
  • Perform quality control, quality assurance for Mammography Accreditation Program.

    • Qualifications / Skills

  • CAMRT and CMRITO Registration.
  • Recent related technologist experience in breast imaging required.
