Our client is a dynamic professional services firm seeking a highly motivated CPA Manager or Senior Manager to lead and deliver tax and advisory services to a broad base of clients. This role focuses exclusively on private enterprise clients, including owner‑managed businesses, professionals, and high‑net‑worth individuals. There is no assurance / audit work involved.
The position encompasses a wide range of services including remuneration and estate tax planning, tax compliance, compilation engagements, and support for real estate clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a client‑centric approach to help drive strategic value and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead corporate and personal tax planning engagements, including remuneration strategies, succession planning, estate planning and corporate reorganizations.
- Oversee preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, GST / HST and payroll compliance, year‑end files and compilation financial statements (NTR / CSRS 4200).
- Manage engagement budgets and workflow processes to ensure timely delivery.
- Supervise, mentor, and support development of staff accountants.
- Review work for quality and accuracy, offering timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
- Stay informed on changes to tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Lead or contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
