Job Description
EBC thinks outside the box and deploys all its know-how to carry out major infrastructure projects : bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, marine installations. Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets as well as our vast expertise in the field allow us to actively participate in large-scale projects such as the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) and the Site C hydro-electric power station located near Fort St-John in British Columbia.
Our seasoned team of engineers, project managers and other specialists also put their energy into the construction of wind farms and to the benefit of hydroelectric projects such as dams, power stations, tunnels and dikes. Responsibilities
- Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution, by setting up projects / mandates, tracking budgets and schedules, within the project management system;
- Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal;
- Ensure tracking of hours, expenses, costs and budget updates;
- Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
- Evaluate change requests, evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders;
- Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers, including cost and schedule controls;
- Ensure follow-up with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts, including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs, as well as necessary provisions and risks;
- Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules;
- Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance.

Requirements
15+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably a varied background mix of experience encompassing contractor, designer and client experience.;A proven track record of project success and team leadership; Strong knowledge of infrastructure such as : Infrastructures, grade separation, bridges, dams, storm water management pond, in-water work, trackwork and grading. Strong experience delivering large scale projects within a partnership environment; Strong experience with alternative delivery mode projects (Design Build, P3) Strong knowledge of financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation; Good computer skills and previous experience with scheduling software; Frequent travel across Ontario, and less frequent across Canada, is required; Ability to obtain a security clearance. Outstanding communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project issues; A passion to develop teams and for organizational growth and success; Bilingualism in French and English, considered a strong asset; Initiative and leadership; Highly organized and self-motivated; Ability to attend to detail and work in an accurate and efficient manner; Ability to effectively manage and complete priorities on a daily basis
