Junior Accountant – CPA Candidate (Manufacturing)
CPA Growth Opportunity | Hands-On Manufacturing Exposure

Location: St. Catharines, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

TreowGroup Recruitment is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Niagara region to hire an Junior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA candidate looking to build practical experience in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

This role offers exposure to costing, inventory, and full-cycle accounting, along with mentorship and support as you progress through your CPA designation.

Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Month-End
  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Support preparation of financial statements
Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process and code invoices with appropriate approvals
  • Assist with payment runs and vendor reconciliations
  • Support invoicing, cash application, and collections
Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
  • Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliations
  • Support costing processes, including WIP and production analysis
  • Maintain accurate data within the ERP system
Payroll & Compliance Support
  • Assist with payroll processing and related remittances
  • Support HST filings and other statutory requirements
Reporting & Analysis
  • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Support year-end preparation and external accountants
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (co-op or internship experience considered)
  • Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation
  • Experience or interest in manufacturing or inventory-based environments
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, basic analysis, reconciliations)
  • ERP experience is an asset (e.g., Dynamics NAV / Business Central)
