Responsibilities
- Collaboratively improves the operation of the clinics by evaluating processes, workflow, and participating in other quality improvement activities such as chart audits.
- The Asthma Educator performs Spirometry tests and assists with education for patients and patient's family.
- The Asthma Educator maintains and performs calibrations on Spirometry equipment, Oxygen Saturation Monitor and supplies all the while adhering to Universal Precautions and Infection Control practices.
- Maintain accurate records of clients’ therapy using electronic medical records (EMR) and spirometry reports; facilitate and assist in developing individual education sessions.
- Serve as a resource to the team.
- Ordering of supplies including samples and other devices as needed.
Requirements
5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
