Purpose of the Role :
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Consultant, Corporate Insurance to manage Svantes insurance program. In this role you will oversee maintenance and renewal of Svantes various insurance policies, in addition to coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate insurance for Svantes operational needs. Currently identified policies include commercial general liability, property and equipment for Svantes world class manufacturing facility in Burnaby, E&OE for our technical professionals, D&O, Cyber as well as temporary construction coverage.
This is a part time or fractional role, ideally suited to an insurance industry professional applying their experience to advising and assisting multiple private companies on their insurance needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- You have a university degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or financial forecasting.
- You posses strong knowledge of insurance regulations, OSFI and BCFSA guidelines, and enterprise risk frameworks.
- You have experience managing insurance renewals, claims analysis, and vendor assessments.
- You have proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and insurance cost models.
- You have certifications such as CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional), CRM (Canadian Risk Management), or equivalent.
