Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent with courses in Mathematics and Science Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical training in maintenance preferably with a Millwright trade certificate Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance Strong knowledge of electrical mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems Proficiency in using hand and power tools as well as diagnostic equipment Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and execution Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills Good understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessary Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing crouching climbing ladders etc.) N3 Engineering studies or Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred but not required Experience in the mining industry is advantageous
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks repairs and installations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities equipment and systems to identify and address maintenance needs
- Perform preventive maintenance on various mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment machinery and building systems
- Install and maintain HVAC electrical and plumbing systems according to specifications and safety standards
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and inventory of parts and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies
