Job description
kg&a is an award-winning communications strategy firm specializing in city building and the urban landscape. Over the last 15+ years, we’ve earned our reputation as communications and public relations experts across the residential and commercial real estate, architecture, planning, and placemaking industries.
Regardless of sector, we work closely with our clients to help them communicate their message so that they can rise above the noise. That’s not only a matter of clarifying what our clients are saying, but where, when, why, and how they’re saying it. We know the landscape inside and out, and understand that landing a story is great, but building our clients’ brand story is better.
We’re currently looking to hire a Communications Strategist to join our team. We are interested in hearing from a range of applicants at different experience levels, from early career to more experienced candidates. Tasks :
- Develop and assist in the delivery of communication strategies and tactics that support client goals in collaboration with Account Directors and internal teams
- Participate and lead regular project and client meetings, delivering insights and counsel that advance objectives
- Lead media campaigns – write compelling pitches for target outlets that align with client objectives, distilling complex information into impactful narratives
- Develop and manage external relationships with relevant media, stakeholders, and influencers, identifying and fostering new relationships to support client needs
- Write and edit press releases, key messaging, presentations, social media content, and other communications materials ensuring implementation and delivery of key messaging
- Proactively identify emerging issues to inform decision-making, proposing new approaches to meet needs
- Develop event concept and social media strategies and coordinate logistics with internal events and digital teams
- Source and coordinate campaigns with third-party vendors (photographers, videographers, graphic designers)
- Monitor and measure campaign KPIs and communicate results to clients
- Contribute to new business initiatives in conjunction with agency leadership
- Champion firm’s goals and values, fostering culture and team dynamics
