Job descriptionBuilding long-term relationships with clients by communicating clear expectations; assist in project sizing, resource and scope estimates Leading sessions with business representatives to perform business needs analysis Leading documentation of business initiatives using standardized templates Preparing business requirements documents that clearly define the business problems, business objectives, and options / solutions Participating or leading daily team meetings (scrums) Preparing project plans and providing regular status reports to management Using standard business analysis methodologies Providing and advising on technology solutions to meet business needs Continually assessing new solutions and processes to ensure those solutions meet customer’s expectations Identifying, developing, and documenting testing strategies with acceptance criteria to validate business requirements Providing 2nd level end user support to both internal & external users Configuration of rate tables and products Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology Minimum 2 years proven experience in the insurance industry is preferred Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant is considered an asset Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data backfilling, and the creation of conceptual and logical models Knowledge of the Insurance industry is an asset Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is an asset CBAP or PMP designation is an asset
