Job Summary
This job is part of the North America Strategy team that helps public-sector clients across North America make informed decisions on policy, future infrastructure investments, and government services, with a focus on public transit, government infrastructure, and services.
The successful candidate(s) will conduct strategic policy and / or quantitative analysis, lead tasks on larger projects and manage small to medium projects by displaying initiative, strong critical thinking skills, and working both independently and within a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage with a wide variety of clients who are determining the direction of transportation systems in North America. Develop strategies, business cases, and plans to address complex challenges and evolve powerful solutions.
- Create meaningful change in communities through provision of high-quality advice.
- Conduct policy analysis and / or quantitative analysis to help inform strategic advice to clients to assist with investment-grade decision-making.
- Undertake technical analysis, report writing and presentations to clients within clearly defined budgets as well as demanding timescales.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes, and decks internally and to clients.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of projects as a project manager and / or take responsibility for the delivery of a work stream as task lead; ensuring that best practice techniques are applied consistently.
- Work independently and in collaboration with other colleagues and our clients.
- Take initiative, proactively identifying problems and opportunities across your portfolio of projects and clients, developing recommendations, and acting on those recommendations.
- Lead project teams to deliver innovative and successful proposals and projects to time, cost, risk management and product quality.
- Review trends and new ideas in the market to ensure our work remains cutting edge.
- Take ownership of continued development, including practicing relevant consulting, strategic planning, policy development skills.
- Proactively identify risks or project challenges, and communicate to the team in a professional manner.
- Provide feedback to team members on an ongoing basis – peers, subordinates, and seniors.
- Follow expectations set by market leadership for project management, written deliverables and client presentations.
- Mentor and manage the development of early career professionals.
- Attend and participate actively in market meetings (I.e., anchor days, weekly / monthly planning) and provide input into market direction.
- Support the production and delivery of proposals.
Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Geography, Policy / Political Science, Engineering, Urban Planning required; Post-graduate qualification preferred.

Salary Range : $80,000 to $100,000 CAD + benefits
