Job Description Job Title : REQ21596 - Project Manager - Level 3 Business Days : 480 days

Closing Date / Time : March 13th, 2025, 10 : 30 AM EST Office Location : In Fredericton, Onsite Contract Duration : Asap until 31-Mar-2027 end date (Possibility for extension and conversion to FT) Standard Hours per day : 7.5 hours work day

Note :

The resource must be available to work on-site , full time in Fredericton. At the discretion of DOH, a blend of on-site and off-site may be considered after the resource has been adequately integrated to the work. Office space with current technology and access to necessary information will be provided in RBC Place, Fredericton, NB for the duration of the engagement.

Deliverables

Tasks and deliverables include but are not limited to the following :

Provision of oversight and direction to assigned projects to ensure execution of their duties and delivery including : Project scope, schedule and cost management using project management methodologies; Project timeline and resource planning and monitoring; Budget planning and monitoring; Communication planning, coordinating and implementation; Issue and risk management to address areas of concern, changes in scope and budget overruns; Team management including internal and external resources; Preparation of status reports.

Regular reporting to DOH Executive Management as required;

Attendance of, and reporting to, Steering Committee Meetings of individual projects.

The individual will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and complete the Department's Privacy Training prior to commencing the assignment

Requirement Detail / Qualifications

Formulates statements of management, scientific and business problems, establishes procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified computer systems to solve these problems, and obtain approval thereof.

Defines and documents the objectives for the project, determines budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities, and terms of reference for the project team.

Manages the project during the development, implementation and operations start up by ensuring that resources from all service areas are made available

Reports progress of the project on an ongoing basis, and at scheduled points in the life cycle to the sponsors of the project.

Evaluates proposed computer systems to determine technical feasibility, functional adequacy, and estimated costs for implementation and operation.

Meets in conference with program managers and other cognizant officials and states problems in a form capable of being solved.

Prepares plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analysing or displaying problems. Works with a variety of scientific, business or engineering tools requiring a sound knowledge of mathematics and management sciences.

Must have a demonstrated capability of managing a team of specialists, analysts and programmers.
