Job description
Tomlinson Indsutrial Waste is looking for a detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Coordinator to ensure our operations meet all provincial and federal regulatory requirements. This role focuses on compliance oversight, training, and maintaining environmental approvals across multiple sites.
Location: 5597 Power Rd, Ottawa ON
Vacancy Type: Replacement
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all sites operate within their respective certificates of approval
- Maintain familiarity with Reg. 347 and Reg. 153, ensuring compliance across operations
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for new employees and ongoing staff development
- Monitor and document compliance with provincial and federal environmental regulations
- Support internal audits and prepare for external inspections
- Collaborate with managers and staff to maintain a culture of compliance
- Perform other compliance-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in compliance, permitting, or environmental operations
- Strong knowledge of current provincial and federal environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and training development skills
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
