Job description
Are you a data-savvy HR professional looking to elevate your career within global total rewards? We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting Senior Compensation Analyst for an impactful 18-month contract.

In this role, you won't just crunch numbers—you will act as an in-house compensation consultant. Supporting two major corporate portfolios (Business Banking and the Chief Operations Office), you will deliver high-quality analytics, market intelligence, and creative design solutions that directly influence compensation policies and incentive plans. If you are an Excel super-user who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and loves finding ways to do work better, this role is for you.

Position Type: Contract (18 Months)
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Style: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 flexible work-from-home day)
Compensation: Up to $44.35 / hour (Based on experience)

Advantages
Skill Amplification: Gain hands-on experience in end-to-end compensation plan design, executive advisory, and incentive approvals.
Robust Training: Join a tight-knit, supportive team of 2–3 members dedicated to providing thorough training and onboarding.
Career Growth: High visibility across major business lines with the possibility of contract extension or permanent conversion based on performance and budget.
Prime Location: Work in a beautiful, vibrant downtown Toronto office tower with great transit access and amenities.

Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Analytics: Lead all aspects of the market intelligence cycle, including research, end-to-end employee role matching, data validation, and trend monitoring.
Compensation Modeling: Build, maintain, and optimize detailed compensation models and equity valuations to support cyclical reviews and ad-hoc projects.
Strategic Recommendations: Interpret large datasets to deliver clear, data-driven compensation recommendations and presentations to business leaders.
Plan Design & Implementation: Assist in the development, evaluation, and rollout of tailored compensation solutions, policies, and incentive structures.
Process Improvement: Bring a creative lens to the function by finding efficiencies, automating workflows, and enhancing how data is managed.

Qualifications
Must-Have Hard Skills & Experience
3+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Finance, or an analytical corporate function.
Excel Super-User: Advanced mastery of Excel (complex formulas, data modeling, pivoting, and macro troubleshooting) is essential.
Market Intelligence Expertise: Proven experience navigating market intelligence cycles and a strong understanding of market compensation data.
Compensation Foundations: Direct experience supporting compensation analysis, evaluations, or recommendations.

Soft Skills
Impeccable Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy, ensuring data integrity across all models and deliverables.
Persuasive Communication: The ability to translate complex data into a compelling story and clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Accountability & Agility: A proactive self-starter who manages deadlines independently and learns new concepts quickly.
Education & Certifications
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
Nice-to-Have: HRPA alignment (CHRP/CHRL) or working towards a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
