The Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) is a Faculty of the University of Toronto that originated as one of the Schools of Hygiene, begun by the Rockefeller Foundation in 1927. The School, which played a critical role in the COVID-19 pandemic response, went through a dramatic renaissance after the 2003 SARS crisis and it is now the largest public health school in Canada, with more than 850 faculty, 1,000 students, and research and training partnerships with institutions throughout Toronto and the world. With $76 million in research funding per year, including more than $31.5 million held at DLSPH, the School contributes to improving population health, health policy and health systems through various discoveries and innovation in data science and AI; maternal, child and reproductive health; health impacts and responses to climate change; implementation and improvement sciences; vaccines for preventable diseases; health and wellness; comparative health policy; sustainable and equitable health systems; and global and Indigenous health among many other areas.
Your opportunity :
The Marketing & Community Engagement Officer will play a central role in supporting and contributing to a robust communications and outreach strategy that focuses on promoting our programs and service offerings. You will play an important role by implementing marketing and communications plans that will elevate the broader impact of our work while also liaising with internal and external audiences. Using your strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, you will implement targeted community outreach plans and continue to nurture the strong sense of community among our faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Implementing communication plans that support outreach goals and objectives
- Implementing marketing and advertising plans to increase revenue-generating activities
- Promoting programs and service offerings to internal and / or external contacts, including implementing targeted community outreach plans
- Producing promotional and outreach materials
- Developing content formarketing and / or promotional materials
- Creating and producing graphic designs, conducting photography and videography shoots, and editing post-production audio, visual, and written material (i.e. brochures, newsletters, etc.)
- Implementing social media campaigns
- Conceptualizing, organizing, and executing event activities
- Developing plans that support recruitment strategies, including planning and implementing components of recruitment related projects
- Building and strengthening relationships with audiences and partners of strategic importance
