We are seeking a Plan Communications Analyst to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Plan Communications, the Plan Communications Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and supporting strategic communications initiatives for plan boards. This position provides expert guidance and insight on complex, cross-functional issues and deliverables, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership.
The Analyst is responsible for developing and executing high-impact communication strategies, conducting comprehensive research and analysis on internal and external trends—particularly within the evolving pension landscape—and translating insights into actionable recommendations. These findings inform decision-making at the board level and across internal teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
This role is ideal for a communications professional who thrives in a dynamic, analytical environment and is passionate about driving strategic outcomes through clear, compelling, and data-informed communication.
Hybrid Work Model
T his position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the flexibility to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. The requirement for on-campus presence is a minimum of 40% of your schedule in a month.
Additional requirements are determined by the role functions and operational needs of each business area.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert strategic and technical communications advice to plan boards and internal teams, ensuring alignment with the unique needs of each pension plan.
- Lead research and analysis on emerging trends, reputational risks, and stakeholder sentiment—translating insights into actionable strategies and thought leadership.
- Develop and apply consistent frameworks for evaluating plan sustainability, media narratives, and social sentiment across the pension landscape.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather intelligence, monitor industry developments, and promote the value and reputation of the plans.
- Craft and deliver high-impact communications, including board reports, briefings, presentations, and external messaging on complex policy and industry issues.
- Represent the branch at board meetings and industry events, supporting trustee orientation and stakeholder education to strengthen brand awareness and informed decision-making.
