As part of a new visionary direction, the School is seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to join its senior executive team as the inaugural Director of Communications and Marketing. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director will be instrumental in shaping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that strengthens the School’s brand, enhances engagement with key constituents and supports enrollment and advancement initiatives. Leading a small team, the Director will oversee all aspects of marketing and communications, while collaborating across other portfolios within the School, supporting the evolution of the existing St. George’s brand, helping to define its identity in a way that both honours its legacy and reflects its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful connection with the broader community.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, strategic, service-oriented communications and marketing leader, well-versed branding, marketing strategies and tactics, media, digital channels, research, and a range of communications programs, including event coordination, promotion, public relations and broader community outreach. The Director will need to bring vision, ambition, resourcefulness, and creativity, and to this key role and is persuasive and a natural relationship builder in a highly collaborative, high-performing environment. A trusted advisor with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives and drive meaningful engagement, the Director will develop a progressive and influential communications strategy that strengthens the School’s reputation and broadens its reach in accordance with the School’s Strategic Plan, Ready and Relevant.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the position has an expected base salary range of $160,000 – $180,000.
