What you’ll do :
The Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new accounts in Energy while supporting our existing network of members. The successful candidate will identify and act on key opportunities for large accounts, RFP's, and program growth, while leading efforts to drive sales growth and secure additional business for the department. Furthermore, the Business Development Manager will monitor operational results to ensure sales, margins, and expenses align with budgeted targets.
- Provide moderately complex support and knowledge of products (fuel, lubricants, propane, and related equipment) and services to North Central Co-op members
- Drive fuel sales growth by acquiring new customers and developing existing relationships
- Proactively identify and secure new account opportunities while working closely with the Petroleum Division Manager and Home Office to develop strategies for driving business growth for new and existing customers, including expanding sales of our products
- Collaborate with the Petroleum Division Manager and Home Office to monitor and act on new tenders and contracts due for renewal
- Partner with the Petroleum Division Manager and Home Office to identify growth opportunities for North Central Co-op's Tempo and reseller programs
- Track and monitor weekly, monthly and annual sales and expenses by comparing current results with forecasts
- Provide input on sales, margins, expenses, capital requirements and staffing needs to the Petroleum Division Manager regarding the annual budget development
- Communicate variances in sales forecasts to make sure supply and deliveries can be supported
- Complete daily administrative tasks as required
