Eastwood Wood Specialties Ltd., established in 1987, has a history of prompt service, excellent quality and highly competitive prices. We manufacture the finest quality and selection of hardwood mouldings, rail stock, panel and post components, and dimension stock in our 90,000 square foot facility in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Job Specification
We are looking to add to our growing team a full-time Wood Moulder Operator. Our ideal candidate must be team-oriented, mechanically-minded with knowledge and experience working with production machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Working primarily with WEINIG Unimat wood moulders.
  • Perform pre-start inspection to ensure area and machinery can be operated safely.
  • Inspect blades and knives as part of pre-start replacing those that are worn or damaged.
  • Setup machine based on information provided by tally sheets accompanying material skid received and in order as verbally instructed by plant manager or assistant to plant manager or as indicated on white board or paper work received.
  • Verify quantities on tally sheet of product received for processing.
  • Perform test run to ensure accuracy of settings making adjustments as needed before processing all material.
  • When processing of material is completed, count, record and print tally sheet from scanner.
  • Prepare skid of completed material for next process or for shipping by wrapping and/or strapping with required tally sheets attached.
  • Forward required tally copies to office.
Requirements
  • At least three year's experience with working with production machinery, specifically multi-head wood moulders.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Good physical health without issue to lifting up to 50 lbs.
