What You'll Do
Set the technical direction for cloud security across our AWS environment, guiding how security is built into platform engineering and development workflows.
Design and scale enterprise-grade security controls — including identity boundaries,cloud securitystandards, and policy enforcement frameworks.
Serve asthesenior technicalexpert on the Cloud Security team,reviewing security risks andhelping teams build secure-by-default systems.
Own and drive high-impact security initiatives, such as compliance strategy implementation, cloud risk reduction programs, and next-generation security platform development.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of software engineering experience, with deepexpertisein cloud security and cloud-native architecture.
Proventrack recordof delivering complex, cross-functional security initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Strong ability toinfluenceand informleadershipon security decisions,mentor developers,and serve as a subject-matter expert across multiple engineering domains.
Clear communicator who can translate security concepts for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CCSP).
Hands-on experience withsecurity standard creation, threat detection tooling, or AI-driven security practices.
This position will be located in St. John's or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

What We Offer

The base pay range for this role is $140,000 - $196,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
