HHS’ Research Administration is comprised of centralized support teams including Commercialization, Compliance and Support Services, Contracts and Grants, and Ethics. The Research Compliance and Quality Assurance Program supports researchers to ensure compliance with the regulations and legislation surrounding research practices, focusing on the continued development of quality research at HHS. The program ensures HHS research projects are conducted according to the standards set forth by the legal representative agencies and globally-accepted research guidelines. Working within an established framework and embracing a risk-based approach, the program provides researchers with internal services and educational tools to ensure adherence to clinical research regulations.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Research Compliance and Support Services, the Specialist is responsible to provide support with the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) . The incumbent will perform systematic review and monitoring of QMS and clinical trial Research studies at HHSC, formulating new standards and upgrades as needed and developing training programs for HHSC-Research QMS. The Specialist will support research compliance and support services . They will support the systems continuous quality improvement and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the Research enterprise at HHS.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Principal Investigators, Research Stakeholders, as well as the HHS clinical departments and service providers, to provide support to research teams, managing day to day issues related to quality and compliance.
The Research Compliance and Support Service Specialist communicates with all levels of staff and researchers across the HHS Research Enterprise to facilitate, consult and share information related to research support services.
Schedule Work Hours
Mon-Fri, occasional after hours.
Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree : Sciences, Health Sciences or Health Studies Clinical Trial Regulation and Guidelines Experience and knowledge Over 5 years of experience in the following areas :
Clinical Trial Management.
Supervising Research Staff.
Quality Assurance and Monitoring of Clinical Trials.
