Your expertise in customer motivation and psychology allows you to decode what drives consumer decisions. You excel in conducting focus groups, ensuring every voice is heard and every nuance is captured. Your dedication to data integrity ensures that every piece of information is accurate and reliable. You have a special knack for understanding the unique needs of Albertans, You don't just collect data; you dig into the root causes of issues, transforming information into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Your ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and compelling way empowers others to make informed choices.

As the Manager, Member Research, you'd make up one-third of the Research Center of Excellence, collaborating with the Market Research and Business Insights teams to put forward recommendations to best serve Albertans and our member base. You'll lead research efforts to develop first-party data that would inform or guide the business strategies of the various AMA business units.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Report to the Vice President, Marketing.
  • Design and implement comprehensive research strategies that align with Association goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of researchers and analysts to execute research projects using best practices in marketing research processes.
  • Analyze customer data using statistical tools to identify market trends and leverage data insights to enhance member experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to translate insights and research findings into actionable strategies for AMA leaders.
  • Plan, implement, manage, and communicate budget and resources for research projects.
  • Work closely with member-facing teams to derive meaningful insights, trends, salient marketplace changes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings to business leaders and key stakeholders with recommendations using evidence-based strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical research guidelines to protect member privacy and Association integrity.
  • WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • You have a post-secondary education in Customer Research, Market Research, Business, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or a related discipline and / or equivalent experience.
  • You're no newbie - you already have at least eight years of experience in data research managing medium to large-sized research projects.
  • You have five years of management experience in a research or business management environment.
  • You're experienced working with and managing third-party partners and vendors.
  • You have training and / or experience in statistical analysis and conducting primary and secondary customer research.
