Job description

Bureau Veritas is a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, operating across various industries to help clients manage risk, enhance performance, and ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, environmental, and social responsibility standards. As an accredited certification body, Bureau Veritas attests that management systems, services, and personnel comply with specific standards, facilitating market access and enhancing brand reputation.

We offer tailored services across multiple sectors, including Buildings and Infrastructure, Agri-Food, Automotive and Transport, Marine and Offshore, and Power and Utilities.

Our services include laboratory and on-site analyses to verify that products and commodities meet required properties, standards, and regulations and on-site evaluations to ensure that products, services, assets, and installations are manufactured or operating as intended, thereby controlling quality and verifying compliance with regulatory requirements. Bureau Veritas is a “Business to Business to Society” company aiming to foster trust among businesses, public authorities, and consumers.

We integrate sustainability into our core strategy, offering services that help clients navigate challenges related to safety, environmental protection, social responsibility, and product or service quality throughout the supply chain.

Who we need Reporting to the Project Management Team Lead, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Environmental Services team in Mississauga.

As our new Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing environmental testing projects from initial request through final delivery.

Acting as the bridge between clients, laboratory teams, and internal operations groups, you will ensure projects move forward efficiently, deadlines are met, and clients receive an exceptional experience throughout the process.

You will work closely with laboratory operations, data entry, and technical teams to understand client requirements, coordinate testing activities, communicate results, and resolve issues as they arise.

Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

This existing role is a permanent, full time role based in our Mississauga office.

During onboarding and training, the successful candidate will work onsite five days per week to build a strong understanding of our laboratory operations, systems, and processes.

Following the onboarding period, the role will transition to a hybrid work model with a minimum expectation of two days per week onsite.

Additional onsite attendance may be required based on business, team, and client needs.

What's in it for you A chance to build deep expertise.

This is more than project coordination.

You will gain firsthand exposure to environmental testing, laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and client management, developing knowledge and experience that can open doors across environmental, pharmaceutical, industrial, and other science-based sectors.

Work with purpose.

Every project you will work on contributes to something bigger, helping organizations meet regulatory requirements, protect public health, and make informed decisions about the environments where we live, work, and operate.

Growth backed by stability.

You will join a global leader with the scale, reputation, and resources to support your career over the long term.

You will be part of a collaborative team that values learning, shares knowledge freely, and provides opportunities to expand your expertise and take on new challenges as you grow.

How you will make an impact as our new Project Manager Own the client relationship.

You will become the trusted point of contact for clients, helping them navigate environmental testing requirements, answering questions, solving challenges, and ensuring they receive an exceptional experience at every stage of their project.

Bring people, processes, and projects together.

Acting as the connection point between clients, laboratory teams, and internal operations, you will keep work moving forward, remove roadblocks, and ensure testing projects are delivered accurately and on time.

Turn complexity into clarity.

Whether coordinating urgent requests, managing competing priorities, or communicating technical information to clients, you will help make complex processes feel seamless and straightforward.

Build expertise in a highly specialized industry.

Through hands-on exposure to laboratory operations, environmental testing, compliance requirements, and client management, you will develop knowledge and skills that few project management roles can offer.

Make every day different.

One day you may be troubleshooting a client issue, the next collaborating with laboratory teams on testing requirements, and the next identifying ways to improve processes and strengthen client partnerships.

What you bring The client service mindset.

You genuinely enjoy working with people and building relationships.

You are responsive, professional, and able to balance client expectations while delivering a high level of service.

Whether supporting a long-standing client or responding to a new request, you know how to communicate clearly and confidently.

The scientific foundation.

You have post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

You are comfortable learning technical concepts and translating information for clients and internal stakeholders.

Experience working in environmental, laboratory, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other science-based environments is an asset.

The organizational skills.

You can manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously without losing sight of the details.

You are highly organized, proactive, and able to adapt quickly when priorities change.

The communication skills.

You can build credibility with clients and collaborate effectively with laboratory, operations, and technical teams.

You are comfortable asking questions, sharing information, and navigating complex situations with professionalism and tact.

The growth mindset.

You are curious, coachable, and eager to learn.

You welcome feedback, take ownership of your development, and are excited by the opportunity to build expertise in a specialized and highly regulated industry.

The experience.

You bring experience in a client-facing, project coordination, account management, customer success, or project management role.

Experience supporting environmental, laboratory, scientific, or technical services projects is considered a strong asset.

Compensation This posting is for an existing vacancy The salary range for this role is $23-25 per hour.
