ABOUT A&A
A&A Trading is a family business established over 40 years ago. We have grown from a small log brokerage firm into a significant sized forest management and log marketing company. We operate on Vancouver Island, the Mainland Coast, and Haida Gwaii on our own licenses as well as on behalf of our communities and Indigenous partners.
Our diverse team is a dedicated and highly competent group of forestry, log trading, administrative, and accounting professionals. THE ROLE
Operations Managers at A&A are responsible for overseeing and being accountable for the long-term planning and development of tenures as well as being actively involved in the operational supervision of the associated logging and road building activities.
Working out of either our Campbell River or Vancouver office, the Operations Manager interacts with all aspects of the A&A team from planning and engineering to sales as well as with our partners, government agencies, First Nations, public, customers, and service providers throughout the planning and development process.
Salary Range : $110-135K+
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Leadership capabilities in safety, environment, quality, and production
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational planning and development
- Forestry Professional ( RFP or RFT) in good standing with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC)
- A solid knowledge base of applicable BC forest legislation and policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, innovative and entrepreneurial
- Comfortable working in a team-based, results-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Organized and familiar with common industry systems and tools
