Job Description

Client & Community Relations Nurse

Part-Time or Casual Senior Helpers Okanagan

About Senior Helpers Okanagan

Senior Helpers provides compassionate, professional inhome support to seniors across the Okanagan, including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, and Penticton. Our mission is to help older adults live safely, comfortably, and independently — while giving families peace of mind. We are locally owned, relationshipdriven, and deeply connected to the communities we serve.

Position Overview

The Client & Community Relations Nurse plays a key role in strengthening trust, visibility, and connection between Senior Helpers and the wider community. This role blends clinical insight with relationship-building, outreach, and education. The ideal candidate is a warm, confident communicator with LPN or RN experience who enjoys engaging with families, seniors, and community partners.

This is not a handson clinical role; it’s a community-facing position designed to elevate our brand, support families, and build meaningful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Family Support

  • Conduct non-clinical home visits to assess client needs, comfort, and satisfaction.
  • Provide families with clear, compassionate explanations of care options and service pathways.
  • Support care plan development in collaboration with the office team.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for families navigating senior care decisions.

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, senior centres, retirement communities, and local organizations.
  • Represent Senior Helpers at community events, health fairs, and educational sessions.
  • Deliver short presentations on aging, safety, dementia awareness, and inhome care.
  • Brand Awareness & Marketing Support

  • Act as a warm, credible ambassador for Senior Helpers in the Okanagan.
  • Help ensure consistent messaging that reflects our compassionate, communityrooted brand.
  • Internal Collaboration

  • Provide insights to improve service quality and client experience.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Qualifications

  • LPN or RN designation (retired or current and in good standing).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with public speaking and community engagement.
  • Experience working with seniors or in-home care is an asset.
  • A warm, professional presence that aligns with our values of dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • What We Offer

  • A meaningful role that blends healthcare knowledge with community connection.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Supportive, collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities to shape local outreach and wellness initiatives.
  • The chance to make a real impact on seniors and families across the Okanagan
