Job descriptionMinimum : Completion of a two or three-year college program in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent. 5+ years industry experience in the role of RF or Microwave Technologist Preferred : Certification in electrical or electronics engineering technology or in a related field is available through provincial associations of engineering / applied science technologists and technicians. 10+ year’s industry experience in the role of RF or Microwave Technologist with experience specific to frequency synthesizers, phase locked loops and signal sources. Nanowave Technologies Inc. is looking for a RF Technologist with strong hands-on laboratory RF prototype development, characterization and testing skills.
Responsibilities
- Prototype hardware development : Assembly and test of prototype frequency sources inclusive of power supplies and computer control interfaces.
- Testing and Measurement : Configuration of RF test benches, collection of laboratory measurements, first-article testing, design tuning, and production test.
- Use and calibration of standard RF test equipment : Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Phase noise test set, Power meter, Oscilloscope.
- Maintenance of orderly laboratory environment.
- Ability to work seamlessly with a group of diverse and highly skilled engineering and production colleagues including mechanical / software / monitor & control / EPC / thermal / thin film / etc.
- Maintain detailed documentation of prototype configurations and tests.
