Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Travel)

Pay: Independent Contractor: $50/hr | T4: $43/hr

Job Type: Full-time | Fixed-Term Travel Contract

Locations available: Interior + Kootenay region of BC (Trail, Castlegar, Nakusp, Lillooet, Keremeos, Kamloops, Nelson, Summerland, Salmon Arm, Lumby, Kelowna and more)

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for travel assignments across British Columbia. This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical expertise, enjoy fully covered travel and housing, and explore the West Coast while making a meaningful impact.

Requirements:

Active, in-good-standing LPN license with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Canada in related scopes

Current BLS/First Aid certification

Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check

Strong critical thinking and adaptability in fast-paced settings

Team player with excellent communication skills

Flexibility and willingness to travel

Duties:

Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population

Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures

Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols
