Compensation

$44 to $48/hour, plus benefits.

Position Description

The Automotive Collision Technician plays a key role within a small, tightly coordinated team where collaboration, shared responsibility, and a commitment to excellence drive daily success. This individual performs high-quality automotive and collision-repair work, ensuring every vehicle is restored to pre-accident condition with precision, care, and efficiency. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, manages their time effectively, and contributes positively to a team environment where everyone helps each other deliver outstanding results.

  • Perform high-quality collision repair work, including panel replacement, structural repairs, bodywork, refinishing preparation, and other related tasks.
  • Diagnose damage and determine the most efficient repair approach while maintaining workmanship standards.
  • Follow proper repair procedures, safety guidelines, and shop protocols at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team, assisting others when needed and contributing to a supportive, high-performance shop culture.
  • Ensure each repair meets the shop’s quality, safety, and accuracy expectations—no shortcuts, no missed details.
  • Manage repair timelines efficiently, maintaining productivity while keeping re-work and delays to an absolute minimum.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for and stored.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, estimators, and supervisors regarding repair status, parts needs, and timelines.
  • Review final repairs to ensure alignment, fit, finish, and overall presentation meet high professional standards.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Support general shop operations as needed, including assisting teammates with tasks outside of primary responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience as an Automotive Collision Technician, Auto Body Technician, Body & Fender Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong background in modern collision-repair techniques, tools, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently without compromising quality, safety, or accuracy.
  • Ownership of a complete and well-maintained personal toolset appropriate for the role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with genuine pride in producing flawless, high-level repair work.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team; willing to pitch in and support others to meet shared goals.
  • Strong time-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
  • Familiarity with OEM repair procedures, industry standards, and modern materials (e.g., aluminum, high-strength steel, plastics, composites).
