As a Clinical Secretary with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will :

• Provide clinical scheduling and medical secretarial support to the Eye Care Centre by methods such as scheduling and booking patient appointments in accordance with various health professionals' schedules.
• Make adjustments to patient schedules in the event of cancellations.
• Coordinate documentation required for patient visits.
• Transcribe medical dictation such as diagnostic interpretation reports and fluorescein angiogram medical reports utilizing dictating equipment.
• Type technical and non-technical material utilizing intermediate wordprocessing software.
• Maintain records on patient visits and related material.
• Prepare billing information and standard statistical reports utilizing spreadsheet software.
• Act as clinic receptionist in accordance with established procedures.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
