An exciting Temporary Full-Time opportunity for 6 Months exists with the Department of Medicine . Under the supervision of the Lead Billing Coordinator, the Billing Clerk will provide billing support for Physicians in the Department of Medicine.
This is a Temporary role
Type : Replacement
Summary of Duties, but not limited to :
- Input data into the billing program database
- Create claim submission files and submit to the MOH via MCEDT on a weekly basis
- Analyze accounts at the time of application for any missing information. Report discrepancies to the Billing Coordinator and contact the Physician or clinic to resolve the discrepancy
- Assist with error reports on a monthly basis
- Reconcile billing remittances against claims on a monthly basis
- Maintain regulations and standards affecting patient confidentiality
- May be required to assist with ongoing OHIP billing training and technical support to new and existing Secretaries
- Third-party billing knowledge, specifically in OHIP, WSIB, IFH, and UHIP
