You have a University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience. You have prior experience in programing in R Or in Python. You have experience solving standard problems by analyzing possible solutions by using our experience, judgment and precedent & challenging status quo. You have good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programing, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design. This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members. As Data Analyst, you actively contribute to various initiatives by analyzing data to solve business problems and providing valuable insights. You understand the insurance business domain and ensure your own tasks contribute to meeting the business objectives by applying appropriate methods and critical thinking and performing analysis.
How you will create impact :
- Autonomously perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (ex : regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A / B testing, factor analysis).
- Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis.
- Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution to enable effective storytelling and descriptive / diagnostic analysis.
- Work on Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Extract, clean, reconcile and prepare the data required for the analysis.
- Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner.
