You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, including prescription filling and technical duties within the scope of a pharmacy assistant, computer and phone work using Kroll to support patient service, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure prescription production and delivery schedules are met. Responsibilities

Program Pharmacy Assistant - Burlington, ON

  • Accurately input patient information into Kroll, ensuring effective adjudication and completion of billing-related duties.
  • Assist patients with non-clinical requests via phone and proactively resolve any arising issues over the phone.
  • Work closely with the team, maintaining clear communication and smooth cooperation across departments.
  • Manage workload independently, including handling inboxes, administrative tasks (Teams), and multitasking efficiently.
  • Support the pharmacy team with medication picking and labeling, and prepare shipping waybills with accuracy.

Qualifications

Program Pharmacy Assistant - Burlington, ON

  • Experience in either retail (3+ years min.) or non-retail (1+ year min.) pharmacy is required, with the ability and ambition to progress into specialty pharmacy.
  • Strong experience with third-party adjudication and insurance billing is mandatory.
  • Strong data entry skills, the ability to think on your feet, and a creative, problem-solving mindset. Multi-tasking and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of dispensing processes.
  • Proven ability to self-manage your tasks and workload independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, with excellent communication skills to maintain positive relationships across the organization.
  • Experience in managing and resolving conflicts, with the ability to approach challenging situations with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.
