THE ROLE

We Are Social is looking for a Social Media Analyst who is obsessed with social culture, loves data and gets excited by understanding human behaviour. You will leverage analytics to inform strategies, identify emerging opportunities, and guide clients in making data-backed decisions. You should be curious, organized, thoughtful and passionate about problem solving.

Some agency experience is not required, but it’s a plus. This role is energetic, innovative and forward-thinking. Alongside engaging with communities, you’ll guide brands by staying ahead of social trends and cultural moments. In return, you’ll join a global agency dedicated to generating buzzworthy ideas for some of the world’s leading brands.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Monitor and analyze social media performance, using data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization
• Create insightful reports and presentations that clearly communicate social media performance and insights to clients
• Stay up-to-date on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media insights into broader marketing strategies
• Interpret complex data sets to inform business decisions
• Identify patterns and trends, and generate actionable insights to optimize marketing and advertising strategies
• Create detailed reports and visualizations that communicate key findings to stakeholders
• Connect diverse cultural references to uncover "intelligence" that highlights meaningful, non-obvious opportunities for brand growth

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong fluency and interest in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
• Curiosity and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A positive, can-do attitude, paired with a strong interest in culture-at-large
• Excellent writing ability and attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• A plus, but not necessary: Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr)
