This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical and project engineering skills in planning, design, and tendering of road and intersection projects and the associated underground infrastructure, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating in a dynamic team environment with the support of highly skilled and approachable senior staff.

Our hybrid work model supports flexible work arrangements and allows this position to be based out of any of our Ontario offices : Bowmanville, Toronto-Mississauga, Burlington, Kitchener, or London.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review design drawings, reports, and tender documents for urban and rural road and highway projects, environmental assessments, and associated municipal infrastructure (such as watermains, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers).
  • Contribute to the planning and management of transportation projects on local, collector, and arterial roads for various municipal clients across Ontario, including assisting with project schedules, budgets, quality control, and coordination of design tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, participate in design reviews, and assist in resolving engineering and design issues.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, utilities and regulatory authorities to support coordination and obtain required project permits and approvals.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to maintain client relationships and assist in proposal preparation and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project delivery and team management, including at least 5 years of design experience in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects in Ontario.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or eligible for licensure.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams and mid- to large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid “G” class driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective. You think you can add value, but don't meet all the job requirements? We invite you to apply, because everyone has something unique to offer. The outstanding talents that choose to join us at CIMA+ soon realize that we go all out to encourage them to grow. We look forward to hearing how you can contribute to our success.

  • Employee and Family Assistance Program
  • Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contribution
  • As an employee-owned company, an annual opportunity to purchase shares for all employees
  • Flexible work schedule in a hybrid work mode
  • Work / Life balance policy across Canada
  • 3-5 weeks of vacation, based on years of relevant experience
  • Tailored training to improve your existing skills
