As a Centre of Excellence for a large and complex inventory of physical assets, the department comprises all the necessary functions and lines of business to ensure the full life-cycle management of the City of Barrie's facility and property portfolios. The Facility Services Coordinator position is responsible for the coordination of facilities maintenance for multiple municipal facilities. The Coordinator sets priorities, plans, directs, and schedules daily work assignments for internal and external resources to ensure maintenance goals are met, downtime is minimized, and preventative and predicative maintenance is completed and carried out in a safe and efficient manner. This position focuses on providing quality service and complaint resolution to internal and external customers in a friendly and professional manner and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, trades, contractors, service providers, and clients. The incumbent acts as the Facility Supervisor when and as required or directed.
