What You’ll Do We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team, with a primary focus on managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. This role involves overseeing AR operations, and ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliations to support the financial health of the company. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is familiar with AR and AP processes, and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee AR processes, including invoicing, payment processing activities, collections, and payment applications. Prepare, review, and issue invoices accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer contracts. Proactively manage collection, reaching out to clients for overdue payments, and resolving disputes. Perform monthly and ad hoc reconciliations for AR accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve AR processes, collaborating with the team to implement best practices. Assist with month-end closing activities, journal entries and account reconciliations related to AR. Assist with accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments. Serve as main point of contact for vendor and client inquiries related to billing, payments, and other accounting matters. Support ad hoc special projects as required by the Controller. Who You Are 2+ years experience in accounts receivable or general accounting roles. Proficiency with accounting software (eg. QBO, Netsuite) and Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers. Proven ability to work independently and as a team, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
